Buckton View, Mossley*

Buckton View is a high quality designed residential development consisting of 36 new dwellings on the existing vacant land off Micklehurst Road, Mossley.

The site is split into 2 distinct areas located on either side of Micklehurst Brook. 3 No terraced cottages will be constructed fronting on to Micklehurst Road which have been sympathetically designed with the properties immediately adjacent and opposite in mind. The remaining 33 dwellings are accessed via Earnshaw Clough on the opposite side of Micklehurst Brook and are a continuation of an existing housing site which has been recently completed.

The proposed dwellings are a combination of detached, semi-detached and terraced properties spread over 2 and 3 floors. Different construction methods will be utilised across the site with either piled or strip foundations and finished in reconstituted stone, slate/concrete tiles and timber/upvc windows and doors.

The works on site include extensive re-contouring of the existing levels including ground pinning, installation of various retaining structures including sheet piles, gabion baskets and masonry/concrete walls some to highways adoptable specification, extensive hard and soft landscaping works and ecological features including transplanting existing marshland to enhance the area specifically along Micklehurst Brook.
