This design and build project involved the demolition of an existing dwelling along with associated farm buildings to accommodate the construction of a new 1100m2, two storey medical centre; to achieve Breeam “Very Good” status. The building incorporates 6 consulting rooms, physiotherapy room and a minor operating area. CPUK also constructed a pharmacy and PCT community clinical space, together with additional space for storage, administration and offices for the district nurses .
The building comprises of mass fill foundations, suspended concrete slab to ground floor. Timber joists with steel framework to first floor. Single and two storey masonry construction with trussed rafter roof and slates.
The building is fully fitted out and included M&E installations and all decorative finishes.
Externally the scope of our works included the incoming services, drainage connection, soft and hard landscaping along with the provision of 50 car parking spaces.
