The scheme involved the design and build of 28no timber frame executive houses with a mix of 3 and 4 bedrooms for First Step Housing.
The development was built on the former site of the Hardy Farm Student Accommodation residence. The site was piled due to the nature of the made ground, steel piles were utilised to reduce the depth of the pile mat required. Ground beams were also installed along with a PCC suspended floor.
The internal fit out included Siematic Kitchens and Vitra sanitary ware to all en-suites and bathrooms.
The external works involved hard and soft landscaping to all gardens and an automated gated access system for vehicles and pedestrians alike. Each property has a balcony and a mixture of brick and cladded facades to fit in with the contemporary theme.
The project has been built to Code For Sustainable Homes Level 4.
