Partington Village Retail Centre

The project offers circa 27,000 square feet of retail space. It began with the removal of asbestos, demolition of an existing building and vibro piling of the site, prior to the construction of 2 steel frame blocks providing 9 retail units. One of the blocks has a mezzanine floor.

This project involved extensive section 278 works, sewer diversion, section 116 abandonment agreements and surveys were undertaken as well as extensive statutory authority diversions and disconnections. A new village square together with a landscaped village green also formed part of this development.

This project has added to the quality of life within the surrounding area and made the town an attractive place to live, work and visit. As part of our commitment to the area we signed up to ‘The Partington Pledge‘ an initiative to help and support local young people gain employment and make a real difference to their lives.

The scheme was constructed to a BREEAM Good Rating. In addition we liaised closely with the existing market stall holders and Trafford Council to ensure that the relocation of the existing facilities and stalls caused minimum disruption to the businesses and local residents alike.
