Pontville School is an independent residential and specialist day school in Lancashire, providing high quality education and care for children between the ages of 5 and 19. The school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with social communication difficulties.
Our works were undertaken in a live environment and consisted of the construction of a new sports and assembly hall. This facility also provided disabled toilets and teaching areas.
Upon completion the facility was linked into the existing school with some reconfiguration and alterations being made to adjoining rooms and corridors.
Works comprised of piled foundations, ground floor slab, glulam frame, larch cladding, sedum green roof, HW windows and the complete fit out of the building. The M&E works included underfloor heating, mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems along with lighting and power. Externally we provided hard and soft landscaping.
Meetings were held regularly with the school to discuss our programme of works to ensure minimal disruption to all staff and pupils.
“CPUK delivered an excellent building which was constructed to a very high standard. Both Mick and Andy are a credit to CPUK, they are trustworthy and honest and helped deliver a quality product. From the start CPUK really understood the design aspirations of the building.”
