Scott Clinic, Step Down Unit, Rainhill

This project was undertaken in a live environment. The scheme consisted of the construction of a new small single storey flat roof reception and office, together with the strip out and internal refurbishment of part of the ground floor area of an existing building to create a ten bedroom en suites Step Down Unit with kitchens, canteen, toilets and offices. Our works took place below the first floor which was occupied 24/7 throughout the period of construction providing living accommodation and bedrooms for existing residents.

The refurbishment works involved stripping out of the existing ground floor area, formation of new doorways, blocking up existing doorways, removal of existing walls and the construction of new walls. In addition we provided internal finishes and fit out of the rooms as well as constructing a new private garden area and external ramp.

The client and the professional team were delighted as the project was delivered within budget and one week ahead of programme allowing the client earlier access into the new facility.

“My team and I are very impressed with your professionalism, CPUK are well organised and have a good team with excellent communication skills. This was an intricate scheme on a tight site and in a live environment; the works were carried out safely and not once was a complaint received from the clinic. The co-ordination between the construction team and the day to day operation of the clinic was excellent. We would be happy to work with CPUK again and are very happy with the overall product”
