A Design and Build contract working in a live environment to construct a new retail unit of approximately 5,475sqft and the refurbishment and amalgamation of two retail units to form one new premise of approximately 35,491sqft. This involves blast tracking of the floor, provision of a new rear service door with canopy and raised loading area, provision of a drainage point, over sheeting the existing roof cladding and replacing the mansafe system, installing bollards and providing bases for a sprinkler tank, pump house and bases for new HV switchgear and tenant’s transformer. The development requires adaptation of the exiting site entrance to form a new service entrance. Works also require Section 278 works in re-modelling the existing London Road entrance to the Retail Park. The main car park will be improved with enhanced lighting and landscaping.
