The new development is set on the reclaimed Brownfield site. The works consisted of the construction of 46 new stylish residential properties. The houses are of traditional construction but with extremely high levels of insulation and air-tightness to achieve high environmental performance.
Principle materials are coursed stone or reconstituted coursed stone in order to relate to properties within the immediate vicinity of the entrance from Huddersfield Road. A rich red multi facing brick will be featured in key elevation elements across the development giving reference to the adjacent Mill building.
Window surrounds were introduced to provide crisp detailing and further reference to the vernacular architecture of the area. The scheme involved all utilities, hard and soft landscaping work.
