A design and build project which was constructed to a BREEAM Excellent standard. This new state of the art medical centre provides a 2 storey traditionally built building. It comprises of a reception, waiting area, eight consulting rooms, two treatment rooms, a nurses treatment room, phlebotomy, offices, meeting rooms and a pharmacy. The project also included all external works and drainage.
On this project we diverted waste from being taken to landfill; thus lowering our carbon footprint and being able to offer the client a saving of circa £20k. This was achieved through value engineering of 3,500m3 of excavated material being retained on site, by crushing material, planning of existing car park areas, retaining material for re-use, along with re engineering of car park levels. This initiative gained us additional BREEAM credits through the recycled aggregate section WST2.
“I am happy with the performance by CPUK throughout the project. CPUK have assisted us in bringing a significant step change for the partners, staff and patients of Wellfield Surgery. The practice is now able to deliver health services from a modern purpose built facility that is truly appreciated by all”
