Charities We’ve Supported & Continue to Support
Barbara Wroblewski, CPUK Group Business Development Director, is a Trustee of the North West Charity Norfox which has been working for North West children’s charities since 2003. In that time, the charity has raised over £289,700 for projects and initiatives that make a real difference to children’s lives and futures.
CPUK Does Tough Mudder for Norfox
Some of the more ‘adventurous’ members of our CPUK Head Office took part in Tough Mudder 2017, raising money for the Norfox Charity. They took part in the 10-mile mud and obstacle course on a rainy Saturday in September. The Team managed to raise over £500!
‘Thanks to Team CPUK – Phil Seddon, Ben Curwen, Lauren Astbury, John Litten, Mike Gregory and Kyle Weedall – and their sponsors on JustGiving, NORFOX moves closer to its target of £300,000 raised so far for North West Children’s charities.
Said NORFOX Chair Stewart Grant: ” We would like to thank the team for enduring the Tough Mudder course and their generosity in devoting that effort to fundraising for us.’
Tough Challenge for Mike and Andy – Ironman Triathalon 2018
Mike and Andy took part in Iron Man in Bolton on 15th July 18. The course consisted of a 2.4 mile swim, 95 mile bike and 26.2 mile run. The Ironman triathlons are considered some of the toughest in the world.
Said Mike “Iron Man was the biggest and greatest event I have ever taken part in. It may be hard to believe but I thoroughly enjoyed it! The swim, which is my weakest of the three, was hard but I knew once I got through that I could really kick on from there. I came out of the water placing 1,656 and finished the triathlon placing 649 out of 1,808 which was an amazing achievement. I never thought I would, but I intend to do another one as I enjoyed it that much! The event overall was a great day, I couldn’t have asked for better weather and the atmosphere of the crowd was a huge boost as well. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who is thinking of taking part in one, go for it! ”
Well done lads! We do have a tough team here at CPUK!
Macmillan Cancer Support
On Sunday 8th April 2018, CPUK’s Mike and Phil took part in the Paris Marathon in Memory of two of our late colleagues, Brian Rodgers and Alan Andrews. They managed to raise over £1000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. What a fantastic achievement!!
Said Phil “It was an amazing experience to run the Paris Marathon. It was a hot day but the crowds got us through. It was a proud moment to cross the finish line, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. It made all the effort (and blisters) worth it. Can’t wait to do it again!”
Said Mike “We had been training for the marathon since Christmas in much colder weather than what we experience on the day, making a challenging day even more challenging. This made crossing the finish line feel like an even greater achievement and raising the money for Macmillan was a fantastic motivator to keep going. Would I do it again? Hell yeah.”
Save the Children Charity
In 2017, we decided to take part in national Christmas Jumper Day raising money for the Save the Children Charity. Everyone at our Head Office took part and we raised lots of money for such an amazing cause.
Barnabus & The Booth Centre

Donation has been split between Barnabus & The Booth Centre who were both incredibly grateful.
