CPUK Group has £80m in orders secured for its 20th year in business, with recent successes including building a massive project for TJ Morris – one of Liverpool’s biggest companies.
Independent building and civil engineering firm Construction Partnership UK (CPUK) says 2020 is looking strong for the business, carrying out projects across all sectors.
One of Lancashire-based CPUK’s most recent completions was 52,000 sq ft of retail space at Speke Boulevard in Liverpool, for TJ Morris, one of the biggest privately-owned companies in the UK.
Steve Burke, CPUK’s founder and managing director, said: “We are seeing particularly strong performance in residential, both housing and multi storey apartments, and in the industrial and logistics sectors.
“I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved; reaching the 20-year mark is quite a milestone and we’ll celebrate by doing what we’ve always done – sticking to our core values of integrity and total commitment to the success of our staff, customers and supply chain.”
CPUK will begin 2020 by working on nine sites across the North West on projects valued from £1m to £25m, with a further four negotiated schemes due to start on site by the end of March.
CPUK, founded in March 2000, also said it is targeting to consolidate turnover at around £60m per year for the next two years, and currently employs 120 staff from its White Moss Business Park base in Skelmersdale.
Although the economy may still be facing some uncertain times as the UK heads towards Brexit, when it comes to construction in the North West, Mr Burke believes most firms have been “getting on with it”.
He added: “Certainly in the circles we move in, over the past three years we’ve not heard of any job that has been stopped because of Brexit, and from what I see and hear it looks as though it will be business as usual for us as we move forward.
“I’m happy with where we are and there is a lot of work around, but we’re not interested in chasing turnover.
“We know what we’re good at and we’ve got a great mix of schemes secured with a very strong pipeline and I’m expecting 2020 to be a good year for us.
“There’s a lot of projects coming off the drawing board. The residential sector across the North West is particularly buoyant and is showing no signs of slowing down.”
Working with and for CPUK will be a pleasure!
